Rikuzentakata: Can This City Recover from the Disaster? (June 2011)
The city was almost destroyed by the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan in March 2011. Three months later, it is trying to rebuild but struggling with slow progress and economic problems that predate the disaster. Will it recover? This multimedia project follows the story of one city.

This multimedia project for the Wall Street Journal takes a wholistic look at China's soaring property market: Who are the key players that sway the markets? Who are the people affected by the increasingly unaffordable housing prices? How have government policies interfered with the market and how effective have these policies been? This multimedia package answers these and other questions through an animaton, personal videos, interactive graphics, statistics and a timeline. was also published in Chinese on CWSJ.com.

The Rise of Rural India (December 2009)
More than 700 million people live in rural India. Almost one third of them live on less than 1 dollar a day. Yet it's also an area where business and government programs see opportunitie. This multimedia project for the Wall Street Journal takes a look at rural India: as a market, as a working force and as a place that needs development.

hiv_vietnam   Vietnam Battles HIV Epidemic with U.S. Aid (December 2008)
The number of HIV cases in Vietnam has tripled in the last decade. With the help of U.S. funding, Vietnam's government is now tackling this global health problem. This multimedia project was published on the Wall Street Journal.

From Burma to New York - The Stories of Burmese Refugees (May 2008)
The number of refugees coming to the U.S. from Burma, also called Myanmar went from roughly 1600 to 14,000 between 2006 and 2007, showing a firm committment by the U.S. government to the Burmese who have lived in camps along the Thai-Burma border for up to two decades. This collaborative Master's Project for Columbia University gives an insight to the challenges that Burmese refugees face once they've set foot on American soil.

The pornography industry has always embraced new technologies. Porn filmmakers were some of the first to adopt high definition technology. But in NYC a smaller, independent pornography scene clings deems the format unsuitable for their films. This multimedia project for Columbia University explores the subject.

The concept of buying products that are labeled as meeting fair trade standards is increasingly popular. But why should the international labeling standard be limited to the growers and buyers of commodities such as coffee, cotton and fruit? Will fair trade standards one day be applied to workers who make the clothing we buy everyday? Find out through this multimedia package for Columbia University.
